Beast Whalers is a naval tactical roguelike set in an original fantasy setting. Manage your fleet of unique ships and fight your way through hordes of sea monsters, unfavorable weather and the limitations of your own vessels to solve the mystery of the sudden appearance of Corruption in your kingdom's colonies.
Key Features
Collect and manage a unique fleet
Each ship has a unique special ability that makes it useful in different situations. Hiring ships of the same class grants you a special bonus. Every possible fleet combination has its ups and downs so experiment with different builds.
Maneuver on a hexagonal grid
A ship cannot move backwards, it can’t easily sail against wind and can only shoot from the sides. But will this stop you?
Undo actions
You’ll make a lot of tactical decisions. During battles you can undo your actions freely up to the beginning of a turn so experiment and always make the best choice.
Permadeath
Upgrade and repair your ships but be warned - once a ship is sunk it’s gone forever!
Adapt to procedurally generated world
Face a series of random levels with different layouts that will significantly alter your strategy each time.
