In Beanrise, Nina is a young girl living in the quiet, isolated town of Byllis. Bored and restless, she stumbles upon a collection of VHS tapes left behind by her late father, Justin. As she begins watching the tapes, the player is transported back in time to play as Justin, living through his experiences just before the current lockdown.
Through Justin’s eyes, players uncover a series of mysteries and unexpected events that occurred when Byllis was recovering from a previous lockdown—one that had already ended. As Nina watches the tapes, she gradually uncovers why the current lockdown began and how her father's story ties into the town’s dark secrets.
