Survive the 13th Century
Bastide is a medieval city-building strategy game where you must guide a vulnerable village of peasants toward survival and prosperity. Starting with almost nothing, you will manage resources, assign vital jobs, and expand your meager settlement into a thriving, fortified town. But beware: starvation, disease, brutal winters, and ruthless bandits are constantly at your gates. Careful and efficient management of your people is essential, as danger can strike at any time.

From Peasant Village to Fortified Town: Assign your villagers to a wide variety of jobs to gather food, manage resources, and construct buildings. Organizing your labor force efficiently is the only way to ensure your people's survival and continued growth.
Harvest, Hunt, and Husbandry: Take advantage of the wilderness around your settlement. Hunt wild animals or raise livestock in pastures to provide your people with life-saving resources, including meat for food, and wool and hides for clothing, tools, and winter warmth.
Play Your Way: Whether you want a punishing medieval survival experience or a relaxing city-builder, Bastide adapts to you. Tweak multiple difficulty settings or disable enemy invasions entirely to tailor the game to your preferred playstyle.
