About the Game

This is a ported version of Baroque Syndrome, a visual novel of hallucination and delusion originally released in 2000, based on BAROQUISM▲SYNDROME—a novel depicting the “pre-Baroque history” of the world of Baroque, before the Great Heatwave occurred.

■ Game Overview

You play as Kitsune, the protagonist, who runs a new kind of business called the “Baroque Shop,” healing people who have been consumed by distorted delusions known as “Baroques” by creating the fantasies they desire.

This is a branching, surreal, dark visual novel in which the story changes depending on the choices you make throughout your progression.

As you move forward, various decisions will appear, and the direction of the scenario shifts according to your selections.

In other words, the outcome of the story is entirely in your hands—the hands of the player.

■ Features

  • Fonts, CG stills, animations, and various other elements have been remastered, with parts of the UI updated for Steam.

  • Save slots expanded to 20, allowing you to preserve your favorite scenes.

  • Toggle between skip-read, skip-all, and auto-play modes.

  • A log function lets you review any lines you may have missed.
