About the Game

BankingSim Logo

Congratulations, you're now the CEO of a small bank. Try not to ruin the economy.

In BankingSim, you're in charge of running your very own bank: Setting interest rates, issuing loans, managing reserves, and desperately trying to convince depositors not to withdraw everything at once. It's a finely-tuned balancing act where poor decisions are punished and even decent ones come with paperwork.

Key Features:

Interest Rate Shenanigans
Set how much interest you pass on to depositors. Offer too little and they leave. Offer too much and you’ll bleed cash. Somewhere in between is “fiscally responsible,” but that’s boring.

Dynamic Economy
Face market conditions that shift like a politician’s promises. Benchmark rates, customer trust, and liquidity requirements will keep you second-guessing yourself.

Real(ish) Banking Mechanics
Reserve ratios, cash-to-deposit thresholds, bank runs, loan defaults, and central bank policy. All the fun stuff they don’t teach you until after you sign the contract.

Bank Runs & Insolvency
Mismanage reserves or get too generous with your lending, and enjoy the thrill of everyone demanding their money right now. Good luck with that.

Stylized Financial Meltdown
Clean visuals, CRT aesthetics, and a UI that gently reminds you you're one misstep away from a government bailout or a regulatory shutdown.

Remember: The only thing standing between your bank and total collapse is your own ability to pretend you know what you're doing.
