About the Game

You are a researcher of The MEG (Major Explorer Group) whose main goal is to explore the vast, atmospheric Backrooms in all its forms and document every important detail. The scale of the locations, their variety and their unpredictability make exploration the core of the game.

Your journey starts on Level 0 and gradually leads you into its sub-levels. Among them are large semi-open halls, tight claustrophobic corridors, highly contrasting color zones and rare areas with mild psychedelic effects. On deeper levels, new locations open up with their own branches and structure.

Parkour in the game is dynamic but not difficult. Thanks to the unique physical properties of the Backrooms, falls do not cause damage, allowing you to freely experiment with jumps and movement (but not always🕳️).

You will also encounter light, low-stress puzzles that open access to secret passages and help you find anomalous objects. A spawn point selection system gives you a new starting position with each run, keeping your interest in further exploration.

No entities are chasing you. The game focuses purely on exploring liminal spaces, observing and making discoveries.
