About the Game

Welcome to a place that feels familiar… but isn’t.

In Backrooms: The Familiar Place, you won’t just walk through endless corridors: each level is a unique challenge, with clear objectives, instructions at the start, and mechanics that will test your wits and nerves.

This isn’t the usual “walking simulator.” Each level includes puzzles, item and key hunting, and mechanics that go beyond mere survival.

Constant evolution: I will listen to the community and their ideas to add new levels, entities, and experiences. You are part of the development.

Unpredictable entities: some stalk you from a distance, others wait silently. You can’t always run… sometimes you’ll have to think.

Immersive atmosphere: ambient sounds, flickering lights, and a design that reinforces the feeling of being trapped in a place that is familiar… yet unsettling.

Mysterious instructions: at the start of each level, you will receive guidance, notes or audios… but you’ll never know if it’s meant to help you or lead you to your doom.

Will you be able to find the exit, or will you become lost forever in the familiar?
