Aurenv (Audio Reactive 3D Environments) is a personal project driven by the nostalgia for the old music visualizers.
There are two main versions which for now are called loopback and stems.
Aurenv loopback captures the audio at Windows level and is plug and play but has the main limitation of the old visualizers: it is not possible to properly interpret in real time each instrument and the vocals because everything is mixed together.
Aurenv stems uses individual audio tracks that make up a song (such as kick, snare, bass guitar, vocals, etc.), exported separately. Each stem can be configured to drive various elements in the scene.
While I think that using stems is the future of music visualizers, there are several challenges related to it and right now I am working on streamlining the user experience as well as adding new environments.
