About the Game

ATOMANTA

●Overview

Step into the role of Taria Takara, a space pirate on a mission to recover a highly valuable artifact hidden on the planet Azavuraz. Armed with the powerful Atomic Manta warship, Taria finally has a chance to claim the bounty and pay off the debts from her previous handlers.

Atomanta is a retro-styled vertical shoot em-up inspired by various Mega Drive and arcade titles from the '90s. Atomanta strives to combine the old-school visuals of pixel art with a more modern approach of a faster bullet hell experience.

Atomanta may be designed to bring a nostalgic journey, but there's also a ranking system that encourages a more aggressive play style!

●Features

  • Fight through 8 unique stages!

  • Pick between 3 different starting loadouts.

  • Discover up to 15 secret weapons and 4 alternate paths.

  • Enjoy beautifully crafted retro pixel art and upbeat synth tunes!

  • Challenge yourself with hard mode, or uncover the hidden hyper mode.

  • Engage in a ranking system that encourages honing your skill.

●Gameplay

  • Players can choose between three starter weapons at the beginning of the run and can upgrade them up to 3 times with power-ups

  • Weapons can be swapped via special options to change playstyle, set to max power.

  • Player has a small glowing hitbox to make dodging easier.

  • The player ship does not lose power-ups when it is destroyed.

  • Focus mode is attached to the rail gun, using a laser sight to help line up shots

  • Bombs cancel bullets and deal massive damage across the screen, and their damage can be upgraded with secret pickup options, but it doesn't carry over between stages.

  • Ship speed and mobility are gradually faster depending on the difficulty

(higher difficulty, more speed and mobility)

●Notes

- The trailer is not a complete representation of the final product, so expect enemy placements and details in stages may be slightly different on release.

- Supports Xbox, PlayStation, keyboard, and third-party controllers, but mainly focuses on Xbox controller users.
