Your species blew up its previous galaxy. For all the usual reasons.
One wormhole later, a Cryoship filled with ten thousand of your civilization's "best and brightest" lands on the new homeworld. The terraforming begins, and an Astrobase is deployed to orbit.
From behind your virtual desk, you build up the Astrobase, while sending out ships to explore the vast galactic expanse. Crew make their own decisions, and its up to you to manage their personalities.
From killbots to brainworms, death comes in many forms. But the species must survive.
