Welcome to 1936. The dust has barely settled on a devastating civil war. The streets of Arkelia are scarred by clashes between rival political groups. The economy is choked by debt, the military operates as a state within a state, and across the northern border, a hostile dictatorship is preparing to march.

The Republic is fracturing. And you have just been appointed Chancellor.

In Arkelia: The Fragile Inheritance, you take on the role of Kurt Baumann, the leader of a fragile, deeply divided coalition government.

The Weight of the Chancellery is Yours

  • Navigate a Divided Cabinet: You do not rule alone. Manage a government of ambitious reformers, cynical industrialists, and ruthless nationalists. Will you build a repressive police state, or push for democratic reforms?

  • Balance a Bankrupt Economy: Wrestle with a massive national debt, stagnant wages, and an autonomous military budget that threatens to consume the entire state.

  • Maintain Public Order: Choose how to handle rising political extremism. Rely on local police, deploy your own loyal security forces, or unleash the army to restore order.

  • Parliamentary Mechanics: Every law must pass the Arkelian parliament. Wield your influence, negotiate compromises with faction leaders, and manage the party whips to get your agenda passed.

  • Military Strategy: As border threats escalate, the scars of the previous war leave the Federal Army in a state of high alert. Coordinate mobilization, manage army deployments, and prepare a defensive strategy to survive.

  • Your Choices Matter: Every decision has an effect on the story. You are Kurt Baumann, a man with a complex past and his own secrets to reveal. Shape his desicions and actions.
