About the Game

ARIJIGOKU is a short, 2D pixel art point-and-click adventure horror game where you control Erik, a man searching for meaning in the aftermath of personal tragedy.

Inspired by classic adventure games, you'll explore a secluded forest, solve environmental puzzles, and use found items to move the story forward. The game uses a simple two-click control scheme:

  • Left click to Interact

  • Right click to Examine

While the path is mostly linear, there are three possible endings, and a few decisions (or careless actions) that can lead to Erik’s death.

Save often. Curiosity has consequences.

  • Playtime: Around 25 minutes for experienced players; longer if you're exploring or get stuck.

  • Includes a full interactive tutorial, accessible from the main menu.

STORY DESCRIPTION:

Erik has lost everything: his daughter, his wife, and now, his will to keep going. Desperate to escape the weight of his grief, he drives aimlessly northward, seeking nothing but distance.

When his car breaks down on a remote stretch of Northern Ontario highway, he wanders into the woods looking for help. What he finds is something else entirely... something that will change him forever.
