About the Game

Architect of Ruin is a completely hand drawn sword and sorcery colony simulation game. Farm, hunt, build, and survive as you rebuild an ancient temple under the gaze of a vengeful god.

The old temple lies in ruins, its power dormant, its faithful scattered. As the new master of these broken halls, guide a growing cult against adversity and meddling heroes. Balance resource management, construction, and survival to the glory of dark gods. Untomb forbidden knowledge, perform sinister rituals, and rebuild a long-forgotten sanctuary one blood-soaked stone at a time. Thus does the age of darkness begin.

A thriving cult demands more than faith: it needs foundations. Lead your followers to construct a formidable base, complete with farms, ritual chambers, and defensive fortifications. Irascible sorcerers and unstable zealots make for poor tools, bend their volatile natures to your will and forge them into instruments of domination. Every structure serves a purpose and every follower, a role in your dark vision.

Your enemies are many: righteous paladins, rival cults, and the occasional angry mob. Meet them with steel, sorcery, and an army of reanimated thralls. Each battle tests your growing cult against those who would see your temple remain in ruins. Every fallen hero becomes a new resource to harvest.
