About the Game

A Horror Otome Game Set in a Village of Otherworldly Rituals — Hyakume no Hananie

Story

Tokyo, 202X.

On the day of your twentieth birthday, a single letter arrives.

You don't recognize the sender's name—but the return address bears the name of the village where you were born.

The letter contains a simple invitation:

"Now that you have come of age, we would be honored to have you attend the village's Coming-of-Age Ceremony."

Something isn't right.

The village where you were born was buried beneath a volcanic eruption when you were still a child.

You know you shouldn't go.

And yet, as though lured by something unseen, you find yourself taking the first step.

On Coming-of-Age Day, dressed in formal attire as snow falls around you, you begin your journey toward a village that should no longer exist...

Characters

Heroine (You) Mikanagi Himari

(Default name, Only the first name can be changed.)

Having lost both your parents and your hometown before you were old enough to remember, you were raised in Tokyo by a close friend of your late mother.

The moment you accept an invitation from the homeland that should have been lost forever and step into the village beyond reality, the gears of fate begin to turn...

Kazuki Sho

One of the people who accompanies you throughout the village.

Though often curt and reserved, he is earnest and dependable.

Yet he always seems to keep you at arm's length, as if there is a side of himself he refuses to reveal.

Raiden Kaname

One of the people who accompanies you throughout the village.

His swordsmanship, delivered with the strength of his towering frame, is nothing short of breathtaking.

Despite his intimidating appearance, he is considerate and approachable toward everyone.

Still, there is an impenetrable composure about him that makes it impossible to tell what he is truly thinking.

Hisaizu Rin

One of the people who accompanies you throughout the village.

A gentleman with a playful streak, Rin runs the village's funeral home and seems to know everything that happens there.

Behind his carefree smile lie unwavering convictions and a delicate nature that instinctively shies away from the touch of others.

Mihoto Yukihito

One of the people who accompanies you throughout the village.

A painter by trade, his kimono is perpetually stained with oil paints.

Warm, cheerful, and unusually quick to close the distance with others, perhaps his peculiar upbringing is what shaped the person he has become.

Goensama

At the heart of the village stands a volcano where the revered deity known as Goen-sama resides.

Goen-sama banished the night and bestowed fire equally upon all who lived in the village.

Fire is what makes humans human.
Those without fire are not human...
