Story Overview:
The protagonist, Zhang Er, is a young man with a positive outlook on life. In his youth, he went astray and became addicted to fruit slot machines, eventually dropping out of school. After much reflection, he resolves to help those who, like him, have fallen into misfortune by defeating their inner greed and taking down the exploitative arcade owners.
