《桂花落》是一款关于听障老人的叙事解谜游戏。故事发生在中国中部的县城中，玩家将扮演有听障问题的奶奶，这是她在家乡的最后一天，明天女儿将接她到省城看病。在离开之前，和昔日的老朋友们一一告别。

❀如果有一天我老了，是不是也会像这样想象声音

全球约5%的人口存在残疾性听力损失，其中老年群体的听障问题尤为严峻。《桂花落》通过文字模糊的设计来模拟听障问题，玩家可以切实感受到听障的影响，并以中国当代老人的视角去体会生活。

❀世界很安静，但我能感受到声音的存在

后天听力损伤的人常通过视觉来想象声音，玩家扮演的奶奶通过观察场景中动态的画面可以找到对应的声音，并使用游戏的可视化录音系统感受声音的存在。

❀这是我的家，这里的一切我都认识

《桂花落》的场景设定在中国中部的一个县城，有曾经辉煌但逐渐破败的老街，处在市中心面临拆迁的城中村店铺，随着经济发展建设起来的新小区……从中可以看见中国二三十年来县城的变迁和当代生活图景。

❀我要离开这里了，再见我的朋友们

奶奶的一生都在和各种人与事告别。青年时工厂倒闭逐渐与曾经的朋友渐行渐远，中年时女儿离乡求学，再到老年时，离开生活多年的县城。曾经送别他人的奶奶成为了被送别的人，在和朋友的对话中，她想起了埋藏在心里未完成的心愿……
