Trillions of loadouts
With 150 Abilities (active skills) and 150 Mutations (passives), and 4 slots for each, a single unit has ~410 trillion possible ability + mutation loadouts from the full pool, before gear, elements, or stat allocation. Every monster you encounter already has at least one Ability and one Mutation. When you defeat that creature, its exact loadout is encoded into the species’ Ability and Mutation Archives. After you Sequence a species, any crafted unit of that species can equip anything you’ve encoded.
Min-max everything
Stat allocation & gear: Distribute points to core stats, then push gear through upgrades and ascensions to hit meaningful breakpoints.
Tune every Ability/Mutation: As they level up, earn tuning points to spend across each power’s parameters (e.g., damage %, proc chance, potency %, duration). You can’t max everything and trade-offs create distinct builds.
Shareable seeds
Share planet seeds so other players can face the exact same monster lineup, Abilities, and Mutations you encountered, perfect for community challenges, strategy runs, and filling out the Genome Codex.
How it all fits together
Genome Codex: Your master index of discovered monsters.
Sequence species (100 Anvilium): Unlock a monster for crafting.
Synthesize units: Create new creatures once sequenced, then equip from that species’ Ability Archive and Mutation Archive.
Handcrafted maps, distinct species pools: Each world plays differently based on its monster roster
Lead from the front: Control your champion (the Effigy) directly while commanding your army like a true strategy RPG.
