Angel Zero

"Angel Zero" is an action game I'm solo developing right now. You play as an (angel?) girl belonging to an "Organization," taking on missions to hunt down all sorts of bizarre creatures. I want to lean into that wild contrast between realistic combat and an angel girl to create a fresh experience.

About the Game

The game is in veeeery early development!
Please ignore the mouse drawings~~~~~~~!
It's only like this because I don't have any real cover art yet!

About Angel Zero

This is an action-adventure game solo developed by FcsVorfeed. In the game, you play as an (angel?) girl who signs a pact with an "Organization" under the "Zero Angel Project," taking on missions to hunt down their assigned targets.

As you play, you'll be able to grab a bunch of different weapons and items to engage in some seriously violent, close-quarters brawls with enemies. Before each mission, you can scavenge the target area for combat supplies and gear.
Once you're all set, you enter「Hunt Mode」for a brutal fight to the death with your target.

More realistic hit feel

Regarding combat and the hit feel, I am really pushing for a more realistic vibe. I have been heavily influenced by movies like John Wick and Nobody, as well as games like The Last of Us and Watch Dogs. I am trying to avoid moves that look too choreographed and instead lean into that messy, stumbling, grounded feel. Mixing that raw physicality with the wide, sweeping attacks of an angel girl creates this awesome sense of contrast in both the visuals and the actual gameplay.

Beautiful lighting effects

I've been tweaking the foliage translucency in-game.
Trying to capture that immersive feeling of sunlight filtering through the trees as you walk by.

I've also been experimenting with adding auto-exposure and god rays to the game.
This helps create much richer contrast and adds more depth between light and dark across different lighting conditions.

Adding more things to explore

Even though the game is mostly a linear action title right now, I really want to try adding some collectibles to the levels to give players that sense of discovery and immersion. Since I am a solo dev, I am constantly weighing the amount of content against what is actually doable, but I am doing my best to make the experience feel as rich as possible. Every wishlist really helps me get closer to my goal, so thank you so much for the support!
