Angel Told Me

The Angel spoke. I listened. A brutal retro FPS descent through the spawn of hell — three callings, many weapons, a loyal hound and an armored warhorse. Ride, cleave, conjure and repent. Forgive them all.

About the Game

THE ANGEL SPOKE. I LISTENED.

A messenger of the Alpha and the Omega found you on the floor of a ruined chapel — and gave you a task: descend, and destroy everything you see. These creatures are not human, even if they appear to be.

Angel Told Me is a fast, brutal retro FPS with RPG teeth. You will die. Your progress will.

THREE CALLINGS

RAMBO — a sidearm, a telekinetic blast, and no mercy. Upgrade the pistol to burst, then full-auto, then a 19-round mag.

MAGE — fire held in the bare hand, a crystal scepter that rains golden orbs, and a full spellbook: lightning storms, immolation, vortex, and an ultimate that spends everything.

MASTER SWORDSMAN — one blade, twice the speed. Dash, pounce, shuriken, ghost step.

AN ARSENAL WORTH DYING FOR

A pump-action shotgun, a wood-stocked battle rifle that pings when it's spent, a spun-up minigun, a .50 caliber bolt-action that fells anything in one breath, and a black-powder hand cannon that sends the damned flying. Every one bought, upgraded, and lost when you fall.

DIE LIKE YOU MEAN IT

Enemies hit hard and you fall fast. Death costs you half your gold — but your XP, weapons and skills are yours forever. Level health and armor, then arm yourself from the Angel between the killing.

THE THINGS THAT WAIT BELOW

LEGION — a black doppelganger that splits in two when wounded, then raises a third and heals them all. "We are Legion, for we are many."

THE WYRM OF GEHENNA— a towering fire-breathing dragon that raises the dead against you beneath an open sky.

COMPANIONS OF WAR

loyal hound— at heel until you loose him, then he drags the damned down and shakes them by the throat.

An armored warhorse — mount up and trample crowds aside at full gallop.

HANDMADE HELL

Every model, level, sound and song is original — bone-lined catacombs and cathedrals of the damned, a metal soundtrack sung for this game alone, and a bestiary built by hand.
