"In a world that can no longer remember the dead,

The gods have abandoned us.

Seven bells tolled, seven nations were sired

And from it, "they" came, born from the ashes of war"

Death is naught but non-existence, a fleeting memory. Freed from the shackles of grief and compassion, humanity engages in endless war along the ebb and flow of an infinite shoreline.

This is but one tale.

Two superpowers, the Stelgard Empire and Dominion of Heilaheim, have been at war for decades.

Both the Empire and Dominion aim to become the overwhelming force in Sephira – by seizing giant mechanical beings known as “Deus-Machina”; constructs imbued with godlike power, in a bid to become the saviour of humanity.

A prophecy foretells that the “Saviour Legend” shall open up a new path and lead humanity towards a bright future as well as break the unending chains of war.

The figureheads of Sephira are coerced by the Council to seize these "machines of the gods". Their eventual plan is to force all countries into an all-out war, gather all seven Machina in one place and to accelerate a phenomenon known only as “Tempus Finis”.

Unknown to the Council however, their predecessors put in a fail-safe method to stop a potential Deus-Machina in its tracks – the Divergent; a bio-mechanical being with the ability to shape-shift between human and weapon.

There is only one Divergent in existence: a young girl by the name of Lyd1a who has been subjected to cruel experiments under the guise of the Stelgard Empire’s R&D division and billed as a top-secret project.

Assigned to her is a knight named Elika von Brabant, a skilled swordswoman who leads the Schwartz Ritter or “Black Knights”. When Elika frees Lyd1a from the Grahl Labs, their paths cross with the enigmatic wanderer by the name of Faviann Freki.

So do their paths entwine, leading them deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the Deus-Machinae, Sephira and perhaps going beyond time and space itself...
