About the Game

“You think you’re certain you’re awake… but perhaps you’re still dreaming.”

Alteration is a narrative-driven first-person experience that blends psychological horror, science fiction, and philosophical mystery. At its core, it is an escape room, though it rarely feels like one.

At the beginning, you are faced with a choice:

Truth or Liberty.

From that moment on, your path begins to diverge.

A dark and haunting figure appears. It follows you, or perhaps leads you, through a series of surreal and increasingly hostile scenarios. It speaks in unfamiliar languages and takes on forms that feel both external and deeply personal.

Each scenario is a test.

Each one requires you to observe, interpret, and solve.

You will decipher symbols, languages, and environmental clues in order to progress. At times, you will be given abilities that allow you to manipulate your surroundings in ways that defy logic. Using them correctly is the only way forward.

Your choices determine where you go and what you encounter.

Different paths lead to different places. Collapsed worlds. Ancient structures. Impossible environments. Each one reveals fragments of something larger.

Something hidden.

Something watching.

If you manage to make it through…
you might discover something.

Perhaps something terrifying.
