About the Game

A war to end all wars

Alruna, sweet Alruna, here we stand again. Crisis and cataclysm – a war like none before it. Industry unto death and death and death, and the poor, bedraggled skelemen drag themselves across the No Man’s Land. So take up arms, Valkyria! Grab a rifle from one who has fallen before you. Stick that gas mask filter directly in your mouth and walk into the fog. We are only here to live through it. That helmet is too big for you.

No place for living men

Welcome to a compact, tightly packed Metroidvania. Alruna has a brand new move-set, including soaring and wall-jumping, and, of course, a rifle. This game leans more into survival horror, with very limited ammunition and next to no permanent upgrades. Diplomatic Immunities offer complete resistance to different types of damage, but they come in mutually exclusive pairs and you can only choose one. The way you chose to upgrade Alruna will affect what path becomes accessible through the game.

Paint the world red

  • An overworld that connects all areas of the game.

  • Five or more large “temples”, depending on your path.

  • Possibly secret bonus-temples, who knows?

  • A star-crossed enemies-to-lovers romance with a rival adventurer. No spoilers!

  • Hidden mini-games, power-ups, shortcuts and secrets behind every wall.
