Inspired by Basque Folklore
The story of Akelarre is inspired by Basque legends surrounding witches' sabbaths, weaving that folklore into its world and narrative. Its visual style and atmosphere are also inspired by Francisco de Goya's Black Paintings and the films of David Lynch.
