About the Game

Joseph is a computer science major who has failed in nearly every aspect of his life. He struggles with his relationships, he struggles to cling onto his waifu as escapism, and he can't seem to find a way to help himself.

You, as the player—who bought the game? Joseph? The observer of Joseph? The protagonist of a different game? Whatever you are, you are tasked with the responsibility of understanding the many different avenues to piece together why Joseph is ultimately a cautionary tale to the human race.

AFK GF is a visual novel with a dark, satirical tone, blending social commentary, psychological horror, and meta storytelling. Embrace the absurd and the uncomfortable as you step into the fragmented mind of a broken man trying to make sense of his deteriorating and meaningless life.
