About the Game

Aberrant Rift is a 3 player coop space combat game giving each player their own role with specific gameplay, the pilot, gunner and repair technician.
The pilot must manage the ships RCS thrusters and main engines to best position the ship to avoid enemy damage, and work together with the gunner to keep the weapons line of sights available as needed, while also managing the movement and rotation of the players controlled drone ships
The gunner manages all the weaponary of the ship, including various railguns with different capabilities, balanced for speed, range or power, missiles and lasers, the gunner will make use of the battle map to coordinate the offense of the players ship and drones, including targetted specific sub components of an enemies ship
The repair technician will access a special overlay view of the ship to manage repairs with an intricate damage model, they must balance power usage and heat to keep the highest priority components functional, weapons create holes in the hull which can be repaired, holes in the propellant tanks create propellant leaks which must be plugged asap before all the fuel is drained
These 3 roles heavily overlap and so coordination and teamwork is vital to success in progressing through a series of missions fighting enemy ships throughout the solar system
