A Whittle Tale is a charming yet darkly whimsical level-based 3D platformer starring Whittle, a misunderstood young demon who means well but can’t seem to catch a break. Bullied by both angels and demons, Whittle’s troubles begin when a prank by a group of angels goes wrong — they summon him into a heavenly classroom, and in his frantic escape back through the portal, it closes too soon… leaving his tail behind.

Determined to reclaim what he’s lost, Whittle sets out across realms connected by the River Styx, now amusingly modernized thanks to Charon’s laziness in his old age. Too tired to ferry souls himself, Charon has installed coin-operated self-service boats, forcing travelers to collect Obal coins to activate them and journey between realms.

Each realm offers unique environments, collectible challenges, and handcrafted aesthetics — Whittle, his enemies, and the world itself are brought to life through whittled wood, antique toys, and spare parts, creating a distinctive tactile charm. Along the way, Whittle improvises with makeshift prosthetic tails, each granting new abilities and gameplay twists that help him overcome obstacles and inch closer to the heavenly realm — and his true tail.

Blending dark humor, heart, and polished platforming, A Whittle Tale combines the playful accessibility delivering an experience that’s as funny and endearing as it is imaginative and visually striking.
