A Rounding of Cats

Arrange cute cats on a grid in A Rounding of Cats, a cozy puzzle game based on the strategy board game of Go. The classic stone pieces are replaced with adorable cats in boxes, but the rules remain the same, and you have to place a black cat near each white cat.

About the Game

A Rounding of Cats is based on the ancient Chinese game of Go (known as Igo in Japan, Weiqi in China, and Baduk in Korea), but the black and white stones are replaced with cute cats in boxes. You play as a black cat and, together with the other black cats in the boxes, you have to surround all the white cats, either with black cats or with the edges of the board. The game is meant to be a short, cozy, cute, and relaxing experience. Expect a gentle difficulty progression, with boxes gradually appearing in more and more unique configurations.

Features:

  • Relaxing gameplay

  • Cute and cozy atmosphere

  • 48 levels

  • Cats, dogs and a duck

The game was made using the LÖVE game framework
