About the Game

A Deep World is a 2D stealth adventure game set in an alien underwater realm. Guide a fragile little creature as it explores, hides, and outmaneuver procedural animated monstrous predators on it quest to rescue a lost friend!

Features:

  • Dynamic Underwater World

Explore a mysterious, alien ocean teeming with life and danger, all possible thanks to procedural animations, and stunning 2D art.

  • Minimalist Stealth Gameplay

Outsmart procedural animated predators by sneaking, hiding, and using your wits and sound to survive, but be careful! Making sounds might distract a predator, might lure them to you, or might open something who knows.

  • A cinematic emotional journey

Embark on a heartfelt adventure to reunite with your lost companion and find your way back home. All told through animation and sound. No HUD, no dialogue, no pop ups.

About the development

A Deep World was originally created as project in a game design graduate class at USC Games, in collaboration with students from Berklee School of Music. Later finished and polished for this full release by Jose Striedinger.
