EXPLORE THE FREIGHT TRAIN

Search through wrecked freight cars for food, tools, clothing, medicine, and materials.

Some cars are locked. In others, you’ll find only parts of the equipment you need—so you’ll have to hunt for missing pieces and use whatever you manage to salvage.

Not every container will be useful: lockers, crates, and bags can be empty—or hold several items at once.

GATHER RESOURCES AND CRAFT GEAR

Hunt animals, pick mushrooms and berries, collect firewood, and keep the fire going.

Use the materials you find to craft tools, weapons, and other essential equipment.

Sew clothing to better withstand the intensifying cold.

THE COLD GETS WORSE WITH EACH DAY

The first days give you time to prepare, but conditions gradually become harsher.

With each new day, the temperature drops, the weather grows more dangerous, and venturing far from safety becomes increasingly risky.

Keep an eye on hunger, thirst, fatigue, warmth, and health.
